As a community, we develop the sailors of tomorrow. North Coast Community sailors are confident, self-reliant, collaborative sailors who love and respect the largest freshwater lake in the world.
Charitable donations help us maintain low fees and keep sailing education and access to equipment as affordable as possible.
We offer lower fees...
To make sure the Chequamegon Bay is a playground all summer-long, local residents receive a discounted price on all North Coast programs!
With support from people like you, first-time sailors are able to fall in love with sailing Lake Superior.
Support local, youth sailors like Maria and Peter and make a contribution today!
Creating community through affordable programming
Since 2001, North Coast Community Sailing has united our community on the water through affordable programming. North Coast offers open sailing, drop-in instruction, classes, instructor and leadership training, racing, and events for youth, teens, adults, and families.
North Coast Community Sailing is a program of 501(c)(3) non-profit organization Recreation and Fitness Resources (RFR), which also operates the Bayfield Rec Center, Aspire Martial Arts, Point to La Pointe Open Water Swim, Bayfield Winter Festival, and a variety of other programs and events promoting healthy, fun and active lifestyles.
All donors will be thanked publicly on our website and at our home base at Washburn’s West End Park.
